“Oh my,” Willow whispered. “Aren’t you just adorable?” She looked at Firefly, then smiled at
Rootsy. “And your little buddy too! You’re both so cute!”
Okardia quickly fluttered up to a safe branch on the nearest tree, watching the strange meeting
with a worried frown.
Elaria peeked around the glossy green leaf she had been hiding behind, hoping Willow hadn’t
spotted her—but Willow’s eyes enlarged as soon as she saw her.
“Oh!” Willow exclaimed. “Am I dreaming? This can’t be real!”
Elaria fluttered around Willow’s face, her little wings making her look as though she was dancing
in the air.
“Well,” Elaria giggled, “if you are dreaming, it’s a very chatty dream! But I won’t pinch you to
make sure.”
